Mick Blue

Twenty-five years, an AVN Hall of Fame induction, a studio of his own — and a national racing championship he won on the side.

Mick Blue was born in Graz, Austria on 9 September 1976. He started performing in 2000, started directing in 2004, and by January 2005 had signed an exclusive performing and directing deal with Zero Tolerance Entertainment. He has since won more than twenty-five awards, including AVN's Male Performer of the Year more than once and XBIZ's in 2022, and he entered the AVN Hall of Fame in 2017. In June 2015 he founded the production label BAM Visions with Anikka Albrite and Maestro Claudio, releasing through Evil Angel. He married Albrite in 2014, and in 2015 the two of them became the first married couple in the history of the AVN Awards to win Male and Female Performer of the Year at the same ceremony. CNBC put him on its Dirty Dozen in 2016. All of which is the part of his life he's arguably least interested in talking about — because in 2022 he became a national champion racing driver, and his Instagram handle is @mickblueracing.

The Longest Career in the Room

Twenty-five years is not a normal run in this business, and the award record maps almost the entire modern era of it. AVN gave him Best Three-Way Sex Scene in 2012 for Asa Akira Is Insatiable 2 alongside Asa Akira and Toni Ribas, then Best Double-Penetration and Best Group Sex Scene in 2013 for Asa Akira Is Insatiable 3 — Akira is elsewhere on this site. He won for Anikka in 2014 and Anikka 2 in 2015, both opposite his wife. He won Best Anal Sex Scene in 2016 for Being Riley, with Riley Reid. The Gangbang Me films brought him Best Group Sex Scene in 2015 and 2016. He shares the 2019 award for After Dark with Angela White, Abella Danger, Kira Noir, Tori Black and Vicki Chase — four of whom you'll find on this site — and he's in the twenty-one-person ensemble that won Brazzers Present: 20 for 20 its AVN in 2025, alongside Angela White, Kira Noir and Gal Ritchie. Meanwhile he directs: for Zero Tolerance from 2005, for Smash Pictures, for Elegant Angel under the name Grazer — which is simply what you call someone from Graz — and for Evil Angel through BAM Visions since 2015. XBIZ named him Male Performer of the Year in 2022, twenty-two years after he started. The Hall of Fame came five years before that, and he kept working.

More Than a Public Persona

In 2017 he went on YouTube and announced he was becoming a racing driver, because it had been his childhood dream. He said he was aiming for the IndyCar Series by 2020. That's the kind of statement that usually ends up as a footnote in someone's Wikipedia article under "unrealised projects." Instead, on 20 September 2022, at Laguna Seca in California, he took first place in the National Auto Sport Association's TT6 event and became national champion in the category. "The biggest accomplishment I have reached in my racing career," he said, "and it means the world to me." Note the sentence: not my biggest accomplishment. His biggest accomplishment in racing. He was ranking it against a separate career. Then in 2024 he turned up in two episodes of General Hospital as a casino dealer — the first native Austrian actor to land a recurring role on the show. Before that he'd played a DJ in the 2015 Austrian film Chimney or Pit, opposite Albrite, and been a central subject of the Austrian documentary Porno Unplugged. He's spent twenty-five years at the top of one industry while methodically building a life outside it.

  • Presence

Blue's presence is professional rather than theatrical, and in his half of this industry that's the whole job. He has been the most consistently booked male performer of his generation for over two decades — a position that isn't won by charisma alone but by reliability, on set, every time, for twenty-five years. CNBC named him one of porn's biggest stars in 2016. AVN and XBIZ have both named him Male Performer of the Year. He's still working.

  • Range

Performer, director, producer, studio founder. He directs under his own name and under the name Grazer, has run BAM Visions since 2015 through Evil Angel, and has held exclusive contracts on both sides of the camera. Outside the industry he's a competitive racing driver, holds a brown belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, has appeared in an Austrian feature film and an Austrian documentary, and has a recurring credit on an American network soap opera. The range isn't within a genre. It's across careers.

  • Momentum

Twenty-five years in, the newest lines on his résumé are the furthest from where he started — a national racing championship in 2022, General Hospital in 2024. He entered the Hall of Fame in 2017 and has done some of his most interesting work since. Most people at this stage are being honoured. He's still starting things.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who is this performer?

Mick Blue is an Austrian adult performer and director, born in Graz on 9 September 1976. He began performing in 2000 and directing in 2004, and has since won more than twenty-five awards including multiple AVN Male Performer of the Year titles and XBIZ's Male Performer of the Year in 2022. He was inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame in 2017. He co-founded the production label BAM Visions with Anikka Albrite and Maestro Claudio in 2015, and directs for Elegant Angel under the name Grazer. He is also a national champion racing driver and has a recurring credit on General Hospital.

  • Where is this performer from?

Graz, Austria — the country's second city, where he was born in September 1976. He built the early part of his career in Europe before the American industry became his base, and he's never particularly disguised where he's from: he directs for Elegant Angel under the name Grazer, which is the German word for a person from Graz. He's appeared in Austrian film and Austrian documentary, and gives interviews in both German and English.

  • How did this performer get started?

He began performing in 2000, in Europe, and moved quickly. Within four years he was directing as well, and in January 2005 he signed an exclusive contract with Zero Tolerance Entertainment covering both — a deal that, at that stage of a career, is unusual for the directing half alone. The rest is twenty-five years of continuous work.

  • What is this performer known for?

For longevity and volume at the very top: multiple AVN Male Performer of the Year titles, XBIZ's in 2022, and the AVN Hall of Fame in 2017. For directing — Zero Tolerance, Smash Pictures, Elegant Angel as Grazer, and Evil Angel through his own BAM Visions label. For his marriage to Anikka Albrite and the record they set together in 2015. And increasingly for what he does when he isn't working: he's a National Auto Sport Association national champion, and in 2024 he became the first native Austrian actor with a recurring role on General Hospital.

  • Has this performer won any awards?

More than twenty-five. He has won AVN's Male Performer of the Year more than once and XBIZ's Male Performer of the Year in 2022, plus XRCO's in 2015. He entered the AVN Hall of Fame in 2017. His scene awards include AVN wins for Asa Akira Is Insatiable 2 and 3, Anikka and Anikka 2 with Anikka Albrite, Being Riley with Riley Reid, the Gangbang Me films, After Dark with Angela White and Abella Danger and Kira Noir, and Brazzers Present: 20 for 20 in 2025. XBIZ has awarded him for Wasteland and other releases. He and Albrite also took the Venus Award's Jury Award for Best Porn Couple in 2015.

  • Does this performer work behind the camera as well?

Extensively — he's been directing for over twenty years. He started in 2004, and by January 2005 Zero Tolerance had signed him to an exclusive contract covering both performing and directing. He's directed for Smash Pictures and for Elegant Angel, where he works under the name Grazer. In June 2015 he went further and became an owner: he founded BAM Visions with Anikka Albrite and Maestro Claudio, releasing through Evil Angel. He's one of the few people in this business who has been a top-billed performer, a working director, and a label principal simultaneously, for a decade.

  • What makes this performer a compelling interview subject?

Because he's watched the entire modern history of this industry from the inside, and from three different chairs. He arrived in 2000 and he's still working — which means he can describe what changed, when, and what it cost, as a performer, as a director, and as someone who owns a label and has to make the numbers work. He's also one half of the only married couple ever to win AVN's top male and female honours in the same year, which is a marriage inside this business that has actually lasted. And then there's the other thing: he told the internet in 2017 he was going to become a racing driver, and in 2022 he won a national championship. Whatever the mechanism is by which someone does that, it's worth an hour of tape.

  • Where can viewers follow this performer’s journey?

He's on Instagram at @mickblueracing and on X at @MickBluexxx. His directing work is available through Evil Angel under the BAM Visions label and through Elegant Angel under the Grazer name. His General Hospital episodes aired in 2024, and the Austrian documentary Porno Unplugged remains the fullest look at his early years. His full conversation is here on The Making Of A Spiegler Girl, where he appears among the series' interview subjects.
